“This hotel is all hype and no substance. If you like ridiculously tiny overpriced rooms with concrete walls then this place is for you. We walked into an 80 degree room because their AC was on the fritz. Didn’t cool down till late at night. One entire wall is a floor to ceiling window so by noon you have to use the blackout shade to keep the room cool. So then it feels like you’re in a prison cell.
Location is great but otherwise too many cons:
- mandatory valet parking at $46/night.
- weak AC and water pressure
- room is so tiny with barely a closet and no dressers so you have no place to put your things. Barely have a place to walk.
- the blackout curtains don’t work properly and suddenly go up and down on their own.
- hotel is on Wilshire so tons of street noise (windows are not sound proofed)
- construction going on next door
- plumbing is terrible
- gym is tiny in relation to the size of this hotel (as well as their pool).
It’s just not worth it for what they charge. Definitely not a place you want to stay at for more than a night or two. The tv is so high and can’t be adjusted to tilt down. They really haven’t put the guest at the forefront of their design decisions.”

“Third time staying here and can’t wait to come back. Location is great! So many great restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice. Love playing with the window shades. Room service is pretty good too!”

Has been my regular go to when I need to be in LA years, service is top notch and the rooms are perfect, bare somewhat utilitarian with a soft grace of exposed concrete, woods. Reg rooms are not large but have 1. Great automatic electric curtain. 2. Killer view (one side looks at the hollywood sign. I usually negotiate upon arrival for the big tub suite. Which is fantastic with a full living room , bedroom, and most importantly giant soaking tub,and separate giant shower room. I usually score it for what i would consider a fairly reasonable price and the tub is totally worth it. Great little pool , excellent valet parking. Fancy coffee shop, bar club etc.

10 minutes from the train station. This is upscale lodging at fair prices. You're 10 minutes from Beverly hills which makes getting to the office there easy and practical. The in hotel and nearby food give you lots of options. The nightclub is alive and well late into the night. And I'm partial to the full concrete walls. Heard zero of my neighbors through those thick walls. Beautiful view as well. Hard to find anything to fault with this gorgeous hotel.

The interior design is really nice, and the big window makes the room to feel more spacious (or the room is actually quite small for the price).
Slippers are provided in the room, and there are many plugs the room for you to charge whatever devices you have.
Nevertheless, the air conditioner is constantly going on and off; it is not only noisy, but it also keeps changing the room temperature from too hot to too cold.
Sound proof is not great - you can hear a lot of noises from the streets at night.
Overall, it was a nice experience for a one-night stay (because I really do love the big window). But if you’re not such a big fan of big windows, I suggest somewhere else to stay.

I nearly stayed at The Line, deciding on a downtown hotel instead at the last minute, but decided to check it out in person in case I wanted to stay here next time. I was SO glad that I hadn't stayed...
