Quartos espaçosos e confortáveis, preço qualidade relativo. Alcatifa nos quartos e quase no hotel tudo. Spa e piscina.

Loved our very comfortable stay at Macdonald Holyrood. Very welcome reception/nothing too much trouble. The room was cosy and well equipped for everything we needed for an overnight stay. Went down for dinner in the restaurant which was absolutely delicious. I had the surf n turf which was a first time for me and I wasn't disappointed.Tasted delicious and was presented well.Nice restaurant which is very comfortable and cosy. Service was good/friendly and attentive. Breakfast was served in the restaurant also which served an excellent selection of hot/cold (buffet style) but staff were on hand to help if required. I would recommend this hotel/quiet area of the city but within walking distance to all attractions. Thank you to all the staff.

The people are 5 stars, but even the best staff cannot provide an amazing service if there is a core issue.The staff was all welcoming and professional, but the overall standing of the hotel was not what we expected. Actually, it was far below our expectations. It is more of a 3 stars hotel currently, and the lack of hygiene is inacceptable no matter the number of stars. It is way too expensive for what it is - in our case anyway.We asked in advance for twin beds and got instead a double bedroom. When we asked to change, we were put in a room that seemed like a huge downgrade, on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. In this room, the floor was not very clean. We could visibly see that it had not been properly hoovered. The next day, even after the room was serviced, the floor was still not cleaned. In our bathroom, there was only soap and shampoo. We are used to having conditioner, lotion, and more in other 4 stars hotels. When I asked reception for conditioner, they gave it to me. Only to realise later it had been charged to the room. The sink was almost blocked, while the tap was splashing water around. In our room, there was no documentation about the spa or room service. It is very unusual. The hotel overall lacks communication, documentation, indications.We paid about 380£ for 2 nights.The swimming pool and floors were also not very clean, we found chunks of hair near the sauna. The steam room was not available. We were offered one towel - no slippers or bathrobe.At the bar, it is nowhere written that it is service at the bar. We waited a while before realising we had to go ourselves.We feel that your staff is lovely and doing their best, but the overall experience is just disappointing. The details are not there.My friend and I have both been to 4 stars hotels in the past before, and this was definitely a different experience.We are disappointed and would neither recommend the Hotel nor come back, unless something really changed.A few positive points to conclude: Excellent cocktails Great location for visiting Kind and professional staff (although somewhat helpless- see above) A hotel with a lot of (unused) potential

Two big armchairs in the room to sit and chill and a big King Size bed. Breakfast was good and the hotel spa and pool are brilliant. Will definitely return. Ótimo hotel - ótima localização hospedado aqui para uma noite durante o Fringe/Festival. Check-in muito suave. Quarto era no 4º andar e agradável e tranquilo. Duas grandes poltronas na sala para sentar e relaxar e uma grande cama King Size. O café da manhã era bom e o spa e a piscina do hotel são brilhantes. Definitivamente vai voltar.

This spa was amazing! I have never been to a spa before and the team here made me feel really comfortable as I was on my own! April who was doing my treatments was amazing and super helpful! A truly friendly team and experienced staff with excellent facilities! Will be coming again! Thank you team and April :)10/10

In the heart of Edinburgh old town. It's a few walking distance from the main train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. The price was perfect for my three stay days. Highly recommended to try if you're visiting Edinburgh. And I love how vintage the room is. Very British No coração da cidade velha de Edimburgo. Desk staff welcoming. Room was lovely however the end of the curtain was off the rail and the window handle was missing.We didn't have a do not disturb sign, asked for one but never arrived. Tea and coffee available in room but two shortbread biscuits for three days bit mean. We had dinner on our first night, not a huge choice but food was good. The waitress was delightful, great service. The next two nights the dining room was closed when we returned to the hotel around eight. Location is good, Holyrood house around corner from hotel and royal mile short walk away.

Since contacting the hotel through Resolver (there was no email address for the hotel or customer services available on their website), the manager has been in touch to offer an apology and a full refund. While I cannot recommend their spa packages, I do appreciate their subsequent communication and refund. My wife and I visited the Edinburgh Holyrood Hotel yesterday for a spa day. We chose the signature package. We tried to phone the hotel prior to booking to ask about the facilities but it just kept ringing out, and there is no detail on the website. The massage and afternoon tea were very good (George was excellent) but the other facilities cannot be described as a spa. With just a pool and electric sauna, this falls well below the minimum standard I would expect. Even if the steam room had been working (which it wasn't), I don't understand how you can refer to that as a thermal suite. In addition, one male toilet was out of order and the other was not flushing and had been left dirty. Only one hand dryer was working. I reported my concerns to reception and was told the toilet would be fixed. When I asked why I was not notified in advance when half of the thermal suite was out of order, this was ignored and she just talked about the toilet. When going back through the changing room, both toilets were closed off. A little while later the previously out of order one had been reopened while the other one was left closed. The open one had a sink but no hand wash dispenser. While working in the male changing room, the maintenance staff propped the fire door open with a fire extinguisher, meaning anyone could enter without a key card. When the maintenance staff left, the fire door was left propped open with a fire extinguisher. In the end, I moved it to close the fire door. There were also no hair dryers in the male changing room, despite there being a space for them.

En el corazón de Edimburgo, todo maravilloso, habitación, baño, desayuno, atención, pileta climatizada.

Un trato excelente. Tuvimos problemas con la reserva y el personal español de recepción se encargó de solucionarlo y asegurarse de que todo estuviese listo tambien para nuestra salida. Un saludo al valenciano y al cordobés! Sois unos bonicos. Recuerdos de la abuela.

Amplísimas habitaciones y baño perfecto. Todo tapizado en cuadros escoceses, con gusto. Lástima de la recepcionista que no había quien la entendiera.

Hotel bien situado a 15 minutos del centro histórico, habitación confortable y buena atención aunque no hablan español en recepción pero te buscan a alguien del hotel que sepa. Aconsejable NO contratar la media pensión porque no hay ni variedad, ni Buffet y te obligan a pagar mas extras si quieres cenar bien al elegir en la carta y tener un máximo que si lo superas lo pagas yun solo plato es lo que puedes pedir...muy mal. La otra opcion es elegir 3 primeros, 3 segundos y 2 postres....pero no cambian prácticamentelos platos por lo que al 3 dia ya estas repitiendo o antes si no te gusta algunos de los platos. El desayuno si es buffet pero escasito. A destacar a Mr. Hamis muy atento, cordial y en general la atención del servicio de restaurante muy buena. El aire acondicionado no funciona solo sale aire ventilado y mas bien caliente

Bonito, céntrico y cómodo. El personal, es súper atento y servicial. Los baños tienen bañera, así que si llegas luego de un largo día de paseo, puedes fundirte en ahí.Lo malo es que no colocan agua en las habitaciones, tienes que comprarla y el desayuno lo comienzan a servir desde las 7am. Eso no sería problema si no tuvieras que esperar entre 15 y 20 minutos para que te asignen una mesa.
