Cuando el cliente pernocta en este hotel, disfrutará capaz del vestíbulo totalmente renovado y del gimnasio, nuevo restaurante, barra y salón del club y las confortables habitaciones parcialmente actualizadas. Podrá disfrutar de la cercanía de zonas de categoría mundial como el Paseo del Río, Alamo y el Teatro Majestic, mientras el nuevo Centro de Tobin de las Artes de Realización y el Centro de convenciones están tan sólo a unas manzanas del hotel. Este establecimiento conserva la gracia de los años 1900, mezclada con servicios modernos para crear una atmósfera especial dónde sobretodo se adivina el presente.

“We arrived Friday evening and was greeted with smiles and great customer service. Once we stepped off the elevators to our room (8th floor), it immediately seemed as if we were in a different place. The hallways were dimly lit and had a sort of wet/mildew smell. Once we arrived to our rooms the stretch worsened. We ended up calling the front desk after discovering one of the beds were damp with dirty linen and the shower leaked. We were quickly given a different room. For the price of the rooms I expected much better. We only stayed one night and received a discount due to my employer. I wouldn’t stay beyond one night and there’s no way I’d pay full price. The location is great because you’re a few mins walking distance from the river walk but the hotel could use some renovations. The lobby looks very nice but the rest of the hotel could use an upgrade.”

“I stayed at this location for 4 weeks (Mon - Fri, not weekends except 7/4/20) starting 6/30/20. Wk 1: I discovered damage to my rental vehicle, including a dent and yellow paint (the same as the poles in the parking area) on the driver side, BUT no one from valet ever said anything. However, Management was great and promised to resolve the issue with Enterprise. Wk 2: My room was upgraded (I was Platinum Elite anyway) to a double room with a parlor. The room had a bad gnat problem, so I was given cups of vinegar to help. Wk 3: My room was upgraded again, but I found the sheets to be disgusting and covered in hair when I pulled back the covers (very nice, thick, luxurious blanket though). Someone came up to change out my bedding, and I requested maintenance for the following day as the sink handle was broken (could not turn on hot water) and the drain was blocked. I got maintenance 2 days later on Wednesday after I went down to the front desk and made a THIRD request face-to-face. Wk 4: no upgrade this time ☹. My room was fine except the hair-covered robe hanging in the closet (🤢) and broken ironing board. I received a call at around 11:45 pm on Thursday night from the front desk (Michael) saying I took my keys because valet couldn't find them. I said I left the keys in the car. I got back in bed and then got up a little while later because it dawned on me - YOU DROPPED YOUR CAR OFF WITH VALET AT 6:15 PM! So, why are they calling almost 6 hours later in the middle of the night? I asked Michael this very question and he started explaining how new cars are push to start and require the key to remain in the car.... That wasn't my question, Michael. I asked again, and he said he did not know as 1) valet is a different department, 2) it happened on a different shift, and 3) I could come down and talk to valet staff about it myself. I reminded him that my questions required just BASIC customer service, and I was NOT leaving my room that late at night. He said he'd ask. I hung up but called back for the manager's name and email address. He called me back only to apologize and say it was the wrong valet ticket number and car, and my car was fine. 🙄 To end a long story, I am VERY unhappy with the overall service and culmination of events. I have already reserved my next 4 weeks (starting 8/3/20), and I will NOT be at Sheraton Gunter. 😡”
